I am an Associate Professor in Emerging Technologies, and Associate Head of School (Research) at the School of Information Technology at Deakin University. I previously received an ARC DECRA 2020.
My research expertise focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating interactive systems that leverages emerging virtual and augmented reality infrastructures and technologies, especially in the area of public spaces, exhibitions, education and health. In my work, I often apply human factors, user experience and interaction design principles to produce engaging, interactive, and novel experiences. I have previously collaborated with the Science Gallery Melbourne, National Gallery Victoria, Channel 11, the Royal Children Hospital, and participated in events as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week and SummerSalt festival.
